Tunnelz

Privacy

What we see, and what we don't.

Last updated 12 October 2026

The short version: your internet traffic never passes through us. Tunnelz builds a VPN server in your own Vultr account, and your devices connect straight to it. We can't log what we never receive.

Your traffic

When Tunnelz is on, your device connects directly to your server. Tunnelz the company has no access to that server and keeps no record of the sites you visit, the apps you use or the data you send. Your server is a Vultr product in your own account, so Vultr's privacy policy covers it.

Your Vultr access key

To build and manage your server, the Mac app uses a Vultr access key that you create. It's stored in your Mac's Keychain and used only from your Mac to talk to Vultr. It's never sent to us.

Your plan

To know which plan you have, the app talks to our account service. It keeps:

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller. We never see or store your card number.

This website

No analytics, no ad trackers and no cookies. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks. One font on the page is loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google also receives your IP address when it loads.

If you join a waitlist, we store your email address, which list (Mac or iPhone) and the date. We use it once, to tell you the app is out, and then delete the list.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to delete it, at any time: write to hello@tunnelz.app. Deleting your account ends any plan on it; cancel the plan first if you don't want another charge.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it except with the services named on this page, only as far as they need it to do their job.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and, if you have an account, by email.
